Pushups are a often overlooked but are still a very imported exercise for bjj strength and conditioning. The benefits an athlete can obtain from pushups are many. They will see improved strength in there cheat and shoulder muscles as well as increased strength and stability in there core muscles. Pushups come in many forms including normal, wide grip, close grip, on a medicine ball, clapping style and even superman pushups were you push yourself explosively away from the ground lifting your body completely off the ground. I have been doing pushup’s for 6 weeks now and can do twenty full reps.
