The First Name of Our Church
This pastor I met insisted that our church originally didn’t have Jesus Christ in the title, which he told me rather smugly and asked me, “Since when did your church add jesus christ to it?” I told him that our church was originally called The Church of Christ and would he prefer it if we changed it back? He kept telling me we believed in a different Jesus and not the Jesus of The Bible. He also kept bearing false witness about our beliefs even after he had been corrected more than a few times. It was very frustrating.
