MBT Shoe
The Masai Barefoot Technology or MBT shoe is a shoe that was inspired by the Masai people from Africa. They have a very upright posture and do not use shoes or any other form of footwear. The MBT company believe that the lack of foot, the gait and upright posture of the Masai people is the reason why they have no low back or postural problems. Because of this they set out to design a shoe to mimic this gait and simulate barefoot walking. The MBT Shoe has a rocker on the bottom to simulate this gait style and it is claimed that this can help a lot of people with postural problems.
