What is Medicare Supplemental Insurance?
Medicare supplemental insurance or commonly known as the Medigap insurance is a way to stand-in the breach left by regular Medicare coverage. There are twelve plans offered by these companies and is made possible because they are government-standardized plans. On the other hand, there are so many companies to choose from that makes it hard to decide what company to go for. Some companies take into consideration one’s age while some base the cost on the standard amount that other seniors in the community are paying. Some companies will raise their prices as you start to age though others start higher but do not increase over time.
