Raw foods are making a comeback

Growing your own food is on the upswing just as we saw it over 50 years ago with the victory gardens.  Community gardens are popping up everywhere, and I am glad to say I have been involved my whole life with gardening.  This meant for me of course I was picking right from the plants their fresh bounty of vitamins and minerals.  Tomato sandwiches made an appearance  every day for lunch.  We started using sprouted grain and bean breads which held up much better than their counter, white bread product, with those juicy tomatoes.  These breads that are high in fiber and protein are so great tasting.  My friends even go so far as to make their own sprouted grain and shredded veggie crackers.  These surpass any store bought cracker on many counts.
