Causes of Vaginitis

The Causes of Vaginitis are many. But germs are most often responsible for:

• Bacteria from the anal region (E. coli) due to poor sanitation or poor hygiene.

• If conditions in the vagina are unfavorable, the bacteria normally present in small quantities in the vaginal flora (enterococci, staphylococci) multiply rapidly and cause inflammation.

• Trichomoniasis: This type of infection is transmitted by sexual activities.

•  Mycoses: it is usually the yeast Candida albicans.

•  Virus warts, herpes

•  All women with BV should be informed of their diagnosis, including the possibility of sexual transmission, and offer treatment. Bacterial vaginosis can be treated with antibiotics.
