Car Fire Caused Second Degree Burn
My husband and I were moving and we borrowed my father’s truck for the day. He was on the way with a load of furniture when he started having problems with the truck running rough. He said he pulled over when smoke started coming out from under the engine hood. He opened the hood and fire came up and burned him. He jumped back in time to save his face but his arm has a pretty bad burn on it. Luckily the fire department was close buy and my dad’s truck is not a total loss. I am looking for treatment guidelines for second degree burns. He refuses to go to the hospital and says it is not that bad.
