When people hear the term CFO, they often think about someone who is high up the company, and someone who is a full-time and a salaried employee. But what a lot of people fail to realize is that it is possible to have the benefits of a full-time CFO without having to hire a full-time employee. Although this might sound a little weird, it is actually a popular practice that a number of businesses take advantage of. But what is really the purpose of hiring a virtual CFO?
A part time CFO can be one of two things. They are either a part time employee that you call upon whenever you need certain CFO responsibilities done. Many will find someone from a part time CFO company and will not need to hire an actual level C executive. This is more of a service and is easier to pay for than hiring a full-time employee.
