The Perth Mint snowy river silver commemorative coin
One of the most interesting coins I have seen in recent times came out of the Perth Mint in Australia. It was a tribute coin designed to celebrate the Man from Snowy River. To Australians, this story is relatively well know but to international guests it is not so. The Perth mint snowy river coin is a commemorative coin that has three horses riding against a scenic display of the Australian landscape. For fans of horses or coin collectors this coin is a definite standout. When I first found this coin I bought up a few to give to friends who live in the outback and make their living from the land.
