Diesel Mechanics Use Gantry Cranes For Engine Lifts
I have been a mechanic for long enough that I remember how hard it was to lift engines out of cars and trucks. Now that I own my own shop, we repair mainly diesel engines on larger vehicle, and we have machinery that does the work for us. A few years ago I looked at some used gantry cranes, and I found one for an unbelievable deal. It works perfectly for the kind of work that we do, and I know that it is durable and will last for a long time. This kind of equipment is essential when you work with large engines like I do.
